About me

I want digital spaces to be places where connection matters more than numbers

Hi 🙂 I’m Pam

I’m not a fan of a world where menus are on QR codes and hotel check-ins happen on screens. I believe digital spaces should feel human, not robotic — and that is a big part of why I do what I do

I’m reliable, caring, and a little obsessed with bouldering and sudoku. I love sending handwritten letters to friends, collecting silver rings, and constantly educating myself so I can better advocate for women’s rights.

In November 2024, I started volunteering at Hair by Ben La Pierre in Groningen. What began as helping out slowly became something much bigger for me. The team’s trust and support gave me the confidence that I could do things my own way. A big part of why Pam in Media exists today is thanks to that experience and the people behind it.

I started Pam in Media because I got tired of stressing over algorithms instead of focusing on the people I actually care about. I saw how easily social media can become overwhelming, especially for community initiatives and local businesses doing meaningful work. I want to create another way of working with social media: one that feels supportive instead of demanding.

If something feels forced or draining, it’s probably not the right approach

I don’t chase trends just because they’re trending, and I don’t expect people to post constantly or be “on” all the time. Social media should be a tool that supports your work, not something that burns you out.

I work best when things feel realistic. I pay attention to how much energy you actually have and what’s already on your plate. Sometimes that means slowing things down and saying “this is enough for now.” I don’t believe social media should take up more space than it deserves.

My goal is simple: for you to feel supported and confident that your social media works for you, not the other way around.
